Traditionally used as an anti-diabetic agent and for treatment of diabetes. The Mangiferin in mango leaves has been found to have many beneficial biological activities that include anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-diabetic effects.

Mango leaf tea has many valuable health benefits. The tea helps treat or regulate many of today’s health problems and lifestyle diseases. It is known to help regulate diabetes and lower blood pressure. It is good for the stomach, including use for dysentery; respiratory problems and has a calming effect.

Mango leaves are rich in Vitamins E (Tocopheral), C, B and A, and many antioxidants such as quercetin, catechins and gallic acid.

Hawaii Mango Leaf Tea

A powerful health drink that helps stabilize blood sugar and lowers blood pressure

Our Mango Leaf Tea comes from a small spray free farm in Kona. Handpicked and dried in small batches to preserve the natural antioxidants and taste.

The major antioxidant in the leaf is Oleuropein, that inhibits hyperglycemia and oxidative stress induced by diabetes.

Oleuropein has several pharmacological properties, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiatherogenic, anti-cancer, antimicrobial, and antiviral. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center reports that “The main component of olive leaf, oleuropein, has strong antioxidant activities, meaning it protects cells from damage and quells inflammation”.

Inflammation is a key factor in chronic and degenerative diseases and this is where olive leaf with its anti-inflammatory properties is useful.

Olive leaf was first used medicinally in Ancient Egypt and was a symbol of heavenly power. Medicinal use of olive leaf extract dates back to the 1800s, where it was used to treat malaria along with many other illnesses.

Olive leaf is a good source of the anticancer compounds apigenin and luteolin, and is a source of the antimalarial agent cinchonine. And oleuropein has also shown protective capabilities against breast cancer.

Olive leaf tea contains many different antioxidants — including hydroxytyrosol, which has an oxygen radical absorbance capacity 10 times higher than green tea, and tyrosol, which helps protect cells from injury caused by oxidation.

Natural Tea Leaf Tea

A health drink with health benefits similar to White Tea that includes the highest levels of

L-theanine for your brain to help you

relax, concentrate, focus, and learn.

Our hand picked, Natural Tea Leaf Tea comes from shaded tea (Camellia Sinensis) bushes growing wild on our farm in Mangawhai, New Zealand.

Note: Shaded tea bushes have been found to produce the highest levels of L-theanine.

The Cleveland Clinic (Major Medical Research Institute in USA) states “L-theanine passes through the blood-brain barrier within 30 minutes and is used for stress relief, the treatment of anxiety, improved concentration and focus, and minimal cognitive impairment. It is said to generate creativity, a state of wakeful relaxation, and higher learning via the ability to ignore distracting information during complex tasks.

Also, early evidence suggests that L-theanine could increase the effectiveness of certain chemotherapy medications and may decrease some of the side effects of such medications”.
